I'm the owner and founder of Lindsay Graves Virtual Assisting, LLC.
I have been married to my amazing husband, Preston, for the past four years but have been together for almost 10. We're cat parents to our two little goblins, Kiba and Kahlua (they're my whole world). I tend to be a very introverted person and am a professional when it comes to social anxiety. I'm a major homebody and have always wanted to find a career that would allow me to work from anywhere I like. Something that is creative, flexible, and genuinely helps out good people!
For five years, I worked in the salon industry. I am a licensed cosmetologist and permanent cosmetic tattooer. During my time in the salon industry, I bounced from assisting and working the front desk for two years to becoming a full blown service provider that specialized in permanent makeup. Prior to my time in the salon industry, I worked various sales associate and management positions in the wonderful world of retail for companies such as Gap Inc., Rue21, and CVS.
Back in high school, I knew that I had always been obsessed with makeup and decided to dive into the cosmetology program my school offered. After graduating with my cosmetology license, I attended New River Community College for two years to get my associates degree and then transferred to Radford University. After two and a half more years, I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Media Studies with a focus in Journalism.
For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to run my own business. As a kid, I remember having a binder which essentially laid out an entire business plan for a pet-sitting business with my mom (you're looking at a major cat lady, here). I'd always find myself playing around on the computer making websites, blogs, and PowerPoint presentations (I was obviously a super popular kid). As I've gotten older, my desire to have a business of my own has only grown.
I decided to start my Virtual Assisting business to help provide website design, social media, content creation, and administrative task assistance to genuinely good people with their small businesses so they can focus more on the things they love!
